i bought this shampoo and it is very good but i doubt that is truly organic because of the ingredients but still for the price range it worth buying it

Natural fragrance, makes hair soft and silky..
Some of the features are as follows:-1) What I like about this shampoo is that it has fragrance and feel of a real coconut.2) It is organic and made of natural sources.3) It moisturizes my hair nicely.4) It nourishes and hydrates the hair well to make it soft, silky and radiant.

This is a really good shampoo without harsh chemicals you'll find in other shampoos. I used it on dirty second-day hair (i have to wash my hair every day or it gets greasy) and it cleaned it and left it soft and volumized. The shampoo smells exactly like coconut oil, not like the cloying coconut scent I expected. I have noticed, like with other non-sulfate shampoos, I occasionally need to wash with a clarifying sulfate shampoo to get build-up out. This is great for every day, though.

Great shampoo
This is my first organic shampoo and I like it a lot. The scent of coconut oil and other essentials oil is wonderful without being too strong. The light amber colored, translucent shampoo lathers up well and seems gentle on my fine hair and scalp. It leaves my hair feeling clean and healthy looking. In terms of performance, it is on par with my regular shampoos. Great but nothing really stands out. I do like that it does not seem to contain harsh chemicals that could dry out or strip my hair. Overall, this is a great shampoo.

Pleasant Scent, Lathers Well, Gets Hair Squeaky Clean
I have to confess, I usually run from products described as organic. Sometimes organic means the ingredients have been grown without chemical pesticides, sometimes it means nothing. Often it means the product is tasteless or ineffective and it generally means the product is more expensive. Therefore I was skeptical about an organic shampoo. However, I was pleasantly surprised that Organic Doctor Shampoo is effective -- it cleaned my hair as well as any shampoo, smells nice -- a subtle coconut oil scent that is not overpowering, and lathers up well. The bottle is easy to hold and use in the shower. It doesn't have any magical qualities, but it does seem to be a good dependable shampoo.

My Shampoo Review
About my hair: I have a lot of baby fine hair, so fine, it is very difficult to style and usually lays very flat and products only make it worse. About the shampoo: This shampoo was difficult to massage into my scalp, it took a large amount, and doesn’t have a great smell. It did seem to clean well, leaving my hair “squeaky” clean AND also very tangled. The first couple of times I used the shampoo, I didn’t use a conditioner afterwards. I had to spray A LOT of detangler to comb through the knots. I also let my hair air dry. I didn’t notice much difference in the shine or volume at this point. The next couple of times I used a conditioner (different brand) and blow dried my hair. These times my hair did seem to have more volume than before. Again I didn’t notice much about the shine. Final thoughts: Since the cost is so high I would only use this shampoo on special occasions to be able to add volume to my hair without using products. It would be interesting to see the end results when the shampoo is used with the matching conditioner.

I don't believe that this product is not as organic as claims to be. My biggest gripe would have to be the scent: IT IS VERY CITRUS rather than your traditional coconut. The citrus just overwhelms two people in our home while the other three like it.My husband feels as if he no longer has flakes because of the shampoo, but it should be mentioned that he has been using a cocoa oil to style his hair daily as of late. My daughter which suffers from dandruff and excessive oiliness was not helped at all. Our other daughter has very thick blond curly hair and she hates the smell when she takes down her hair from a bun and feels that it did not moisturize at all. I personally only use products from my local salon so I do not have any opinion besides the fact that the smell is major turn off, personally.Every individual needs something different and every person will truly have a different experience. Even though three of us loved it, I will not be purchasing because I don't feel it does any special to warrant the added cost. Too much citrus in the ingredients and it is not actually certified organic.Recommend if you can check it out in your local drugstore/market first and see if you like the scent. If you do then I do not see any harm in the purchase.

=I discovered the shampoo 1.5 years ago and have been using it exclusively since then. It makes the hair easy to comb and you only need very little of the product itself. I have thick hair and strong natural curls and a bottle - with daily shampooing - lasts at least six weeks. Highly Recommended.

I love the smell of this shampoo. I color my hair and need a shampoo that is gentle in the color and moisturizing at the same time. This one does both.

Organic shampoo with the faint aroma of coconut and lots of essential oils and fruit extracts
This organic shampoo includes some really interesting ingredients: virgin coconut oil, a variety of essential oils and fruit extracts, which everyone seems to want in shampoos these days to keep hair healthy. It definitely has an aroma of real coconut, but it's very light, not too heavy, a fresh scent.

Great shampoo!
This organic shampoo adds moisture and nourishment to your hair during your regular wash routine. It has a faint but pleasant coconut oil smell.As it's a better quality product, you won't need as much as you might with other shampoos.As a side note, Organic Doctor is produced in the EU.

Just okay, expected more
I guess I was expecting more from this Coconut Oil Shampoo (and Conditioner). My hair didn't feel any better (softer, healthier) than with any other shampoo or conditioner I've used. The smell was a little too subtle - I expected more of a rich coconut scent. They were okay - but didn't stand out. My usual shampoo and leave-in conditioner does a better job for me.

Light and Lovely ~
An appealing light-coconut scent that I liked. I am highly sensitive to artificial scents, so I appreciate this shampoo. This product smelled light and felt light, cleaned well, rinsed easily. I've been using another product, for years, that costs less, and I'm seriously considering switching to this organic shampoo. After the first five shampoos, I'm liking how my hair feels more moisturized (on the dry & brittle side).

My hair looked greasy after using this shampoo
I like the coconut smell of this shampoo. It's not an overpowering scent. I also like that it has many different essential oils complementing the coconut oil. The shampoo is a dark yellow color but the bottle says that sure to the organic nature of the ingredients, color can be different in other batches.I usually use Pantene because it doesn't dry my fine hair out. However, I've only used this coconut shampoo twice and my hair looked greasy once I dried it. My hair feel stiff also. I really hate to walk around with clean but greasy hair.

Environmentally friendly shampoo
This is an okay shampoo and conditioner--certainly nothing wrong with it. I used it along with the Organic Doctor Organic Virgin Coconut Oil Conditioner from the same product line. I liked it just fine. Having a more environmentally friendly shampoo and conditioner is nice, however, in terms of hair results, I saw absolutely no difference between my freshly washed and dried hair using this shampoo and conditioner, versus using a bargain brand shampoo and no conditioner. So if you want to help the environment, go for it, but don't expect a miracle for your hair from this line of products.

Not 100% organic but I still like it
This review is for the shampoo and it works really well. It has a nice, light coconut scent. It contains organic coconut oil, and coconut oil is very nourishing for hair. The bottle is labeled as organic but the back of the bottle indicates not all ingredients may be organic (the bottle indicates that a minimum of 70% of the ingredients are organic.).With that said I do really like that there are no harsh chemicals in the shampoo and no animal testing. A little bit goes a long way and it does not leave any residue on my hair. It leaves my hair feeling clean and fresh. I do enjoy this product and will continue to use.

I have very sensitive skin, which includes my scalp. Many shampoos cause bumps on my scalp and Organic Doctor Organic Virgin Coconut Oil Shampoo is one of the only shampoos that does not cause them, and those bumps I used to have are now gone! It has a delicate fragrance, is very soothing and calming to my scalp, and it leaves my color-treated hair feeling clean and very moisturized. I used to purchase this shampoo at my local health food store, but they stopped carrying it, along with some other things I loved and used to purchase there. So thankful that Amazon carries this shampoo! I highly recommend it and will continue purchasing it!IMPORTANT UPDATE: September 24, 2020 I find it necessary to update my review due to the fact that when I last purchased this it was selling for only $12.99 and not for $20.62 as it is now, and it has the same amount of ounces --9 ounces! Also, the formula seems to be different. When I purchased mine it was a clear golden yellow and not opaque as it appears to be now. (See picture of the shampoo that I purchased that I just added to this review). Also, the name is now different. When I purchased mine it said Organic Doctor not Dr. Organic. This WAS my favorite shampoo but I haven't purchased it since the last time I ordered it because of the higher price and the other changes that lead me to believe that it is no longer the same product, so BUYER BEWARE! I am deducting two stars from my original 5 star rating because of my concerns.

The shampoo is rather thick and rich and it takes very little to make a lot of foam. Certainly very good ingredients, but be careful! It has no coconut aroma, rather resembles a citrus fruit. The scent is however rather delicate and pleasant.

I have been using this shampoo for a year and a half and I must say that I am very satisfied especially because it does not contain the lauryl sulfates that damage hair so much.

=I bought this shampoo along with the conditioner because my little daughter has wavy hair and frizz is a problem. We tried a lot of shampoos but none of them worked, this showed us the difference from the first use. Great sense of cleanliness. The hair remains shiny and the frizz effect is gone, even for me who have straight hair! Great, I recommend it. Obviously the results will also depend on other factors such as hair type, water hardness, washing method, etc., but the product itself is really very good.

=Product purchased on behalf of my father. After a few weeks of use he told me that the shampoo is good and very mild. She chose this shampoo for its famous properties as it has problems with scalp irritability. It should restore damaged hair and stimulate hair growth, restore the balance of the scalp even in case of dandruff. I recommend it to anyone. The shipping was really fast (Amazon prime) and the package is good. It stimulates the keratin fibers of the hair, giving volume and making the hair full-bodied and healthy.
